ROP Computer Studies
Mrs. Sweeney teaches ROP Computer Studies, ROP Computer Maintenance and Networking (soon to be named ROP Computer /Business Internships). She has taught for the 49er Regional Occupational Program here at Bear River High School for almost seventeen years (since 1987) and has lived in Nevada County since 1973.
She is a graduate of Sierra College and California State University University, Sacramento, with degrees in:
Mrs. Sweeney enjoys working with students who have a desire to discover their career opportunities. With the new organization she and Mrs. Stephan have started this year -- named Club STC (School-to-Career) -- students are invited to participate in field trips and other activities to understand the world of work.
She invites communication about her classes and encourages questions about ROP and the benfits of the programs. Next semester, many opportunities will be available for excellent internhips in the afternoon class.
