Mrs. Payton teaches Chemistry and AP Chemistry at Bear River. Her education includes a
B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from U.C. Santa Cruz and a M.S. in counseling from Cal State L.A.
She received her teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona. She has been teaching since January 1986 and came to Bear River in 1991.
Before she started teaching, she worked as a counselor for disabled people for 9 years. She is
also the advisor for CSF. Some of her interests and hobbies are: reading, boating,
water skiing, hiking, and computers.
