Mr. Hansen, a Bear River teacher since 1993, teaches English 1 and English 2x, though he would still like to return to the Spanish classroom someday. He is an avid reader and enjoys hiking, running, and the theater. He graduated from UCSB in 1991, with a B.A. in English, and recieved his M.A. in comparative literature from U.C.I. a few years later. If you want to impress him, drop by his his room (G-5) and talk to him about Renaissance Drama (especially Hamlet) which is his area of expertise. Mr.Hansen and his wife Callie (who is also a teacher) are proud parents of Stephen Wakefield and Cate Olivia. Stephen and Cate are twins who were born in October of 2001.
