Social Science Henry Goodman teaches World History, Government, and Economics. In past years, he has also taught U.S. History. He was able to complete his undergraduate degree at Yale University in three years because, in high school, he passed the Advanced Placement exams in U.S. History, European History, English, and Calculus. Mr. Goodman graduated from Yale with honors in History in 1972. He completed his Masters degree in History from Pepperdine University in 1999. Mr. Goodman worked as a merchant seaman during his college years and has had the opportunity to travel extensively in the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Mexico, and throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Goodman enjoys wilderness travel and photography, and his photographs have been exhibited in several museums and galleries. He also worked as a building contractor for twelve years, specializing in building and designing passive solar homes and authentic log homes. Mr. Goodman's wife, Susan, is a high school art teacher. They have five children, ranging in age from 23 to 32. |
