There are 1440 minutes in each day. You will be keeping track of the time you
spend on the following activities: (If you do not do the activity… do
not include activity on your spreadsheet) Use the abbreviations when creating
your spreadsheet.

Volunteer Work (VW)
Eating
Talking On The Phone (Phone)
Hanging Out With Friends (Friends)
Watching Television (TV)
Reading For Pleasure (Reading)
Hobbies/Special Interests (Hobbies)

Spend My Day Log and use it as a form to keep track of how much time you
spend on the above activities per day.
You will be keeping track for three days.
2. Create 3
charts (graphs) One chart for each day. If you have zero minutes for an
activity…do not include it in your chart!! Your charts need to include the following:
Header/footer
Print in landscape
Title
Data labels (cell contents or percentages)
Spell check and capitalize labels

3. Write a memo using the Standard Memo Format (You may use a Professional Memo Template in Word).
1. Describe what you learned about yourself from this activity.
2. How do you rate your time management skills?
3. How could you reorganize your day to have more time for the things you consider most important?
4. Compare and contrast how you spend your time on the weekend vs. the weekday.
5. Do you have better time management skills during the weekend or weekday? Explain.
